How to grow a beautiful Life
If you think of your life as a tree, you will know that, whatever you put in at your roots as compost or nutrients, will produce the fruits that grow in your branches.
Meditation is a reliable way to go down and tend to your own roots, where you can establish the best possible environment for your future growth. The best kind of meditation I know uses a sound-shape. I teach meditation using a Hebrew sound-shape I call a zera, which means ‘seed’. Like all seeds, the zera is packed with possibilities. When you allow that zera to take your awareness to the deepest level of your consciousness, you arrive in the field of universal creativity. This space is Divine, because it is really beyond our comprehension. But we do catch glimpses of the multi-layered qualities of the Divine. The most fundamental of these qualities are Power, Love and Wisdom, and these three ingredients supply potent nutrients for growing an awesome life.
To reap good fruit from your tree, go deep into the Divine on a daily basis – twice a day is enough.
Talking to your Tree
The pioneer spiritual seekers who created the Findhorn Community, back in the 1960s, explained how they talked to the plant devas, who responded by growing extra special fruit and vegetables, even on poor, sandy soil. This reminds me of Jesus’ parable about the man who sows seeds, and some of them fall on stony ground and will not grow. However, it might seem a bit impudent of me to challenge this great teacher, but I have often wondered why Jesus didn’t offer any kind of remedy. Surely, when we commune with the Divine, we could sift out the stones and add good minerals to our soil. We could add nutrients. Then our seed would grow into a big strong Tree of Life!
Talking to the Divine is often described as ‘praying’, but to me that word implies asking for something and hoping we will be heard. Perhaps we should think of watering our inner garden, introducing the right nutrients, so the fruit on our tree will develop according to our choices. This would be true co-creation!
Tree language!
So, how do we converse with our seedling tree? How do we encourage it to grow beautiful blossoms and nice big juicy fruit? We need a special language – a primordial language. It needs to be simple and direct. Just a hint, a soupçon of encouragement to promote the kind of growth we are looking for. This is where the characters we find in ancient mystical alphabets will be our allies. In The Shefa Method, I teach you how to meditate with a zera, a sound-shape chosen from Hebrew that will lead you down inner pathways into your metaphysical garden. Here is where you can nurture your unique Tree of Life. Then I show you how to use characters from an old Hebrew alphabet. These are very simple shapes you can recall, during the stillest part of your meditation. The shapes are designed as orbs, connected by lines of Light energy. Each one carries a very simple message, and you can use the characters to co-create with the Divine, encouraging growth and wellbeing, joy and delight. Think of the characters as homeopathic remedies, vibrations that will fine-tune the way your Tree of Life grows, encouraging it to develop a strong, hardy trunk and substantial branches, ready to burst into leaf and blossom. Ready to carry the weight of gorgeous life-giving fruit.
